Here’s who has been impacted by the AWS outageĀ

Scores of popular online platforms experienced problemsĀ Monday as Amazon Web Services (AWS) grappled with an outage.Ā

Amazon’s cloud computing arm, which is a leading provider of cloud infrastructure services, first reported issues around 3 a.m. EDT in the ā€œUS-East-1″ region located in Northern Virginia.Ā

It identified a problem withĀ its DynamoDB database and began applying fixes to resolve the issue. The company said around 6:30 a.m. EDT that it had been ā€œfully mitigatedā€ and most services were up and working again.Ā

However, a second wave of outages appeared late Monday morning. AWS linked the connectivity problems to an issue with its Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), which allows users to virtually access computing power.Ā
