Ocasio-Cortez fundraises off Trump’s IQ jab

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) is fundraising off of a jab from President Trump about her IQ.

“AOC’s low IQ,” Trump told reporters Monday on Air Force One, using the common nickname for the New York Democrat.

“You give her an IQ test. Have her pass, like the exams that I decided to take when I was at Walter Reed. I took — those are very hard, they’re really aptitude tests, I guess, in a certain way, but they’re cognitive tests. Let AOC go against Trump,” the president added.

Ocasio-Cortez shot back at Trump’s comments in a Monday fundraising email.

“Hello, Mr. President!” Ocasio-Cortez said in the email. “Out of curiosity, did those doctors ask you to draw a clock by any chance? Was that part hard for you, too? Asking for 340 million people.”

On Monday, Trump told reporters he went through an MRI and a cognitive test earlier this year amid a “secondary” physical at Walter Reed. He did not outline the reasoning behind the MRI, saying the full results were public and that the exam had been “perfect.”

“I got an MRI, it was perfect,” Trump said on Air Force One.

“Nobody has ever given you reports like I gave you, and if I didn’t think it was going to be good, either, I would let you know negatively,” Trump added. “I wouldn’t run, I’d do something. But the doctors said some of the best reports for the age, some of the best reports they’ve ever seen.”
